Affordability

Tuition covers a significant portion of the cost of education, principally faculty and staff salaries. Additional costs are associated with enrollment at Southampton Academy including capital fees, finance charges (deferred payment), the hot lunch program, and auxiliary programs such as extended day, day care (on days when school is closed), and after-school activities. Bus transportation may also have an additional expense.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
The Academy has a program to support K-12 families with demonstrated need.

Variable Fees

TEXTBOOKS AND DEVICES:
Lower School (grades K-5) students receive textbooks to use at the beginning of the year, as well as supplemental consumable materials.  The books are leased to students.  That fee and the costs of supplemental materials are billed to parents in the fall and can be viewed in FAMILY PORTAL.
Middle School (grades 6-8) students purchase textbooks and workbooks from an approved list.  Some required classroom materials and gym uniforms will be billed in the fall and can be viewed in FAMILY PORTAL.
Upper School Students (grades 9-12) purchase textbooks and workbooks from an approved list.  A Chromebook capable of running the latest version of Google Chrome OS is preferred for all students during the school day. If you choose to purchase a laptop computer, a minimum of Windows 10 is required.  More information about chromebook minimums will be included on the Upper School supply list published in the summer.

HOT LUNCH
The hot lunch program varies from $6.00 to $8.00, dependent upon grade level and quantity of food ordered. While accounts are billed, families are encouraged to pay in advance following a declining balance system.

EXTENDED CARE PROGRAM
The before school and after-school care program is available from 7:00 a.m. until the start of school and from 3:08 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The program is billed based upon hours attended. For more information on the hourly rate, click here.
